Robot@Expo: An Italian project devoted to learn about food&automation.

The Robot@Expo project deals with the history of automation in agriculture and is run by some middle schools of PIacenza and Cuneo. In Piacenza on February 6th 2016 opens up the project exhbit presenting the students'works. More than 500 students of Piacenza schools were involved in the project workshops. Read more

NAO CHALLENGE 2016: Full House the Italian Edition!

More than 40 Italian high school teams applied to the NAO Challenge 2016, Italian Edition. This means that more than 300 students, their teachers, friends, and relatives will be attending the May 7th 2016 Challenge at Bologna Golinelli Foundation (Opificio Golinelli). Aldebaran Robotics will be providing 10 NAO robots parked at 10 Italian hosting centres for the teams to test their program. Read more

At Trent Nottingham University EDUROB European project partners are going to test the customised interface for robotic driven interaction for SEN students (Speciual Needs Education). The interface is commanding two robotics platforms: The NAO humanoid robot, and the Lego EV3 Mindstorm. It is equipped with Learning Scenarios, designed following two years of studies and survey condicted with hundreds of support teachers in the partners'Nations. Read more

Call for the shape of the logo of RoboESL European Project

RoboESL is the name of a project co-funded by the Programme Erasmus Plus of the European Union. It is managed by Liceo Fermi of Genoa; the School of Robotics is among the project partners. The acronym RoboESL means Robotics-based learning interventions for preventing school failure and Early School Leaving. At the beginning of December 2015 the first RoboESL Transnational meeting took place in Genoa. Now, RoboESL needs a logo, and the partnership is calling for a contest to choose it. Read more

RoboESL is th name of a project co-funded by the Programme Erasmus Plus of the European Union. It is managed by Liceo Fermi of Genoa, and the School of Robotics is among the project partners. The acronym RoboESL means Robotics-based learning interventions for preventing school failure and Early School Leaving. On December 2nd and 3rd 2015 the first project Transnational meeting will take place in Genoa. The European partners - coming from Latvia, Italy, and Greece - will be planning the project activities devoted to support learning methodology for fragile students, preventing them to early leaving school. Genoa, December 2015: Genoa MadLab improves its offer in ollaboration with the School of Robotics

MadLab Genoa is a rich, funny, and a very useful enterprise located, as it is, in a difficult neighborhood. In fact, the center of Genoa is the widest medieval borough of all Europe, and it is almost intact. But, precisely these interesting characteristic make Genoa "caruggi" (a maze of backstreets and alleyways) an underdeveloped area. The Genoa Municipality s just trying to intervene, supporting young people business enterprise downtown. MadLab is one of them, opened up thanks to a consortium comprised of the same Municipality, Festival della Scirenza, Cooperativa Il Laboratorio, and the School of Robotics. The main aim is to teach about 3D printing. This project is co-financed by Compagnia di San Paolo. Read more
