School of Robotics Emanueel Micheli is going to give a talk at the Erickson Conference on "The Quality of School inclusion". Micheli will present some case studies where the use of robotics kit and of the humanoid robot NAO have improved the learning abilities of SEN students. The Science Festival (Genoa, 22nd of October- November 1st) is open. The School of Robotics is there with two electrifying laboratories. One is inspired by the famous MasterChef competitive cooking reality show. But, in our Master Robot participants are becoming able to build their robot out of "mysterious" ingredients. The other lab is called " We All..On the Floor", it is hosted by International Children Library: There, participant are going to work on gears and mechanics to reach some.. equilibrium. Read more

A very interesting Call is open addressed to students of high schools. The mission is to design (on paper, power point, cad, Lego brick, anything) a robot that could support the recyicling of urand wastes. Especially in Nations poor of raw materials, wastes could become a rich source of energy. Deadline October 23rd 2015. Read more

The Riciclobot is a project funded by the Genoa Valpolcevera Municipality and by the local Municipal Waste Agency, and run by the School of Robotics. The project developed some laboratories for the students of the Valpolcevera schools in which they built some little figurines shaped as robot, then mechanized with motors. Students' artifacts are now presented in an Exhibit at Casa Ambientale, Valpolcevera. Exhibit opening on 17th of October at 3 pm., and it lasts till October 28th. Read more

The National Network of Educational Robotics - whose Leading Manager is the San Giorgio Nauticial School of Genoa - helds the last course devoted to robotics for education. The Network participants are several schools of primary and secondary education interested to use robots supporting STEM education. Next steps are the Network application to national and European projects, and its growth and development at national level. Read more
