School of Robotics is participanting in some of the campaign events devoted to celebrate the International Women's Day. We are giving prominence to the issue of the under representation of women in the tecno scientific professions and careers. Forty-five teams applied to the NAO Challenge Italia 2016 Final Contest (May 7th 2016, Bologna). The NAO Challenge is organized by Aldebaran, the School of RObotics (NAO Challenge Ambassador), by Fondazione Golinelli, and Media Direct Campustore. These teams are coming from many Italian Regions (Piemonte, Liguria, Lombardia, Veneto, Toscana, Emilia, Marche, Abruzzo, and Campania). and are representing several high school (Technical, High Schools). The Final Contest of the FIRST® LEGO® League Italia (FLL) takes place at Rovereto Palasport "A.Marchetti" on 11 and 12 of March 2016. 28 teams are going to participate, coming from the Italian Interregional Qualifications (Trento, Genova, Pistoia, and Catania). Read more
Safer Internet Day (SID) is an international event taking place in February every year, which promotes a safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones by children and young people across the world. 9 Over the years, Safer Internet Day (SID) has become a landmark event in the online safety calendar. Starting as an initiative of the EU SafeBorders project in 2004 and taken up by the Insafe network , Safer Internet Day has grown beyond its traditional geographic zone and is now celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide, and across six of the world’s seven continents. The Robot@Expo project deals with the history of automation in agriculture and is run by some middle schools of PIacenza and Cuneo. In Piacenza on February 6th 2016 opens up the project exhbit presenting the students'works. More than 500 students of Piacenza schools were involved in the project workshops. Read more

RoboESL is th name of a project co-funded by the Programme Erasmus Plus of the European Union. It is managed by Liceo Fermi of Genoa, and the School of Robotics is among the project partners. The acronym RoboESL means Robotics-based learning interventions for preventing school failure and Early School Leaving. On December 2nd and 3rd 2015 the first project Transnational meeting will take place in Genoa. The European partners - coming from Latvia, Italy, and Greece - will be planning the project activities devoted to support learning methodology for fragile students, preventing them to early leaving school.
