Guess who participated to the "hour of code" with Nao the Robot in Washington D.C?! President Barack Obama. Hour of Code™ is a campaign to show that anyone can learn the basics of coding and become a maker, a creator, an innovator. It’s a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code". We’re targeting our activities at secondary school students, but anyone is free to participate. Read more

NAO CHALLENGE Italia: 78 teams applied from all over Italy!

The NAO Challenge this year is offered in 5 European countries: France, Denmark, Italy, Germany and the UK. All schools can participate in the challenge whether they have a NAO or not. Tests are prepared on a free simulated software and go from September 2014 to the finals in May 2015 in each country. This challenge is designed in collaboration with teachers, in order to fit in with the secondary education projects in Europe. Read more

Hackathon NAO - Cité des sciencesFor the 2nd time, the Carrefour Numérique organization belonging to Paris’ City of Sciences held a NAO Hackathon in partnership with Aldebaran. From Friday the 24th to Sunday the 26th of October, five teams composed of 5 students and engineers had to work on creating behaviors for the robot with a special topic in mind: the relationships between humans and robots (‘Loving my robot a lot, passionately, not at all’). NAO Challenge 2015: The humanoid robot competition also in Italy.

The NAO Challenge is an annual competition organised by Aldebaran Robotics, initially in France for 2013 / 2014 and will be later extending to European countries from September 2014. The goal is to raise awareness, motivate and train students in the use of humanoid robotics through multi-technological and innovative projects. Italy is one of the places selected to have the 2015 NAO competition. Read more
