Guess who participated to the "hour of code" with Nao the Robot in Washington D.C?! President Barack Obama. Hour of Code™ is a campaign to show that anyone can learn the basics of coding and become a maker, a creator, an innovator. It’s a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code". We’re targeting our activities at secondary school students, but anyone is free to participate. Read more

We have just reached the end of a really excellent period in the history of the European Robotics Week and one which has highlighted the growing prominence of Robotics in Europe. We received many registrations, which resulted in almost 500 events being held around Europe. Many of these events were in countries where Robotics Week was being held for the first time, such as Croatia and Israel. Read more

Digital Girl Award: a budding NAO developer among the finalist!

The European Digital Girl of the Year is an international award, part of the Ada Awards, which is aimed at promoting the use of digital skills among girls.Among this year's finalists, there is a nine years old NAO developer! Following the footsteps of her father Dave, Anne Snowdon is interested in digital technologies. She is member of the coding club of her school and she programs thanks to drag and drop solutions such as Scracth or Choregraphe. Read more

AICA (Associazione Italiana per il Calcolo Automatico) is holding its National Congress in Milan. The main issues is the lip from the digital world to the physical one, from bits to atoms. The need to revamp artcraft and manufacture adding to it the richness of ICT is opening up an intense discussion and fablab initiatives.
