Nobel prizes denied to Women of Learning
Between male thinking and female thinking

Palazzo Alberti - Rovereto
from 24/11/2010 to 13/03/2011
The temporary exhibition explores the relation between women and science and the difficult admission of this role by the society. Several female scientists did not receive the Nobel prize in favour of their male colleagues. How do you feel if achieve a great goal and someone else is awarded for that? To acknowledge what you deserve is not only a matter of doing justice, and it is not simply a cause to provide with equal opportunities everyones; now it is -above all- a matter of freeing women's potentials and assets which the world cannot see the result of yet.

The remark is offered to the public through 6 great women who gave a fundamental contribution to science, in a journey among art, history and science.

An in-depth examination on the cultural and historical – but also biological – differences “Between male and female thinking” is scheduled within the exhibition. It is organized by the Didactics of the Museums of Rovereto together with CIMeC, Società del Museo Civico di Rovereto, Civica Scuola Musicale R. Zandonai, the City Library of Rovereto, the Robotics School of Genoa and the Tourist Office Information of Rovereto.
