Dol's Magazine, a magazine that since 1999 has dealt with issues of equal opportunities, gender education, women and employment with seriousness and commitment, publishes in its online issue an article dedicated to gender education.
At the end of August 2017, a UNESCO symposium dedicated to the gender gap in STEM: Cracking the code was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Girls' education in STEM. On that occasion, the Report was presented under the homonymous title, which gathers studies and surveys from 70 countries around the world.

What is the global situation of girls and women in education? Despite positive progress and development, there are still significant and dramatic gender gaps. Obstacles to the education of girls in STEMs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), and generally to the completion of an adequate education course, are hard to remove because they coincide with the socioeconomic base of families. For many countries, the difficulties concern not only the limited number of children/girls who manage to go to school, but also the level and duration of school years and programmes. The lack of presence of girls is evident above all in secondary education (cf. chart of purple figure 3 line). The surveys presented in the UNESCO Report confirm already known data: girls drop out of school, in particular techno-scientific studies, progressively from primary school and in smaller numbers reach higher education.
