Hannover Messe 2017: Robots everywhere in the Industry 4.0

Capable of reacting to people and not just following pre-programmed commands, cobots, collaborative robots equipped with sensors, are enabling an entirely new form of teamwork.
Smart industry is becoming smarter, more flexible, and more and more connected. Cobots are expected to ensure a level of efficiency and safety never seen before in human-robot interaction. Gone are the days when robots had to be kept behind cages so as not to harm anyone. Today they work side by side with their human colleagues. To reach this point, their developers took a great deal inspiration from humankind. This in turn allows companies, especially SMEs, to boost their competitiveness.
