The Italian city of Cremona dedicateds an extraordinary exhibit to its fellow citizen Janello Torriani. Less famous than Leonardo da Vinci, Janello Torrian was not less ingenious in inventing and manufacturing all kind of mechanisms. The exhibit displays many of Torriani'inventions.

A robot is ready to lead you across the Exhibit, where you could find fantastic mechanisms created by this versatile engineer of Italian Renaissance.

Our Honorary President Gianmarco Veruggio will be opening the Conference Program devoted to the progress of Engineering since the time of Torriani: Robotics. Cremona. Museo del Violino, October 20th 2016

The exhibition gathers several objects from different European and American museums, together with innovative technological devices that will make visitors live an immersive multimedia experience.

This approach allows for a simple viewing, full of emotions, available to all ages.

The exhibition continues throughout town thanks to the guided routes following Torriani's footsteps in 14th century Cremona.

The scientific aspect of the exhibition was born from a close collaboration between the Fundación Juanelo Turriano in Madrid, The Alexandre Koyré (EHESS) Center in Paris, the Max Planck for the History of Science in Berlin, and The Medici Archive Project (U.S.A. – Italia).
