European Robotics Week 2014 will be from 24 to 30 November 2014

European Robotics Week 2014 will be from 24 to 30 November 2014
Reading time Reading time: 1.5 minutes

The European Robotics Week offers one week of various robotics related activities across Europe for the general public, highlighting growing importance of robotics in a wide variety of application areas. The Week aims at inspiring technology education in students of all ages to pursue careers in STEM-related fields, i.e. science, technology, engineering and math.

The euRobotics  and the School of Robotics are happy to announce that the European Robotics Week 2014 (24 Nov. – 30 Nov.) is now ready and the website is prepared for you to upload the events.

Many of you already have the credentials to access the area to upload events on euRobotics website from last year. For others who are still not in the system and would like to be able to upload events please either register yourself on the website or send an e-mail to info-week@eu-robotics.net .
The process works this way:

  • You register your data on the euRobotics Week – Events 2014 – Register form;
  • We confirm the information and you receive your login information on your e-mail;
  • Then you can go to "Members Login" on the website (www.robotics-week.eu) and log in using your password, click on "Manage events", fill out the Event Submission Form, and click "send".
  • Events you submit will not immediately show up online. They will first go through a quick check to make sure they are suitable for the Robotics Week and then set online.
  • Please avoid registering/uploading any internal conferences or anything that is not meant for the general public.
  • Please upload your events in English (you can use your national language on your national website and add the link to the event submission form if you wish).
  • Please use the European Robotics Week logo (attached) with your local/national promotion and follow the PR Guidelines (attached) which also can be downloaded from the Robotics Week website: www.robotics-week.eu

Kindly send us a list of the e-mail addresses of anybody that you think is interested to organize and upload events.

This year we are also interested if your event can be made available as a video life-stream or as a video podcast. We plan to establish the European Robotics Week Communication Centre in Toulouse and set-up a video channel for making internet live-streams and podcasts available, including the events in Toulouse in the Cité de l'Espace and at Robotics Labs in Toulouse. This will be an exciting new element of Robotics Week.

Last year we have created flickr and youtube ERW accounts with the aim to show what is happening during the week. We think this is a good way of showing a glimpse of what is happening during the European Robotics Week to all people that cannot attend to the activities and also helping to raise the awareness of the general public in Robotics.

We kindly ask you to upload videos and photos of the activities you will have in your countries during the European Robotics Week 2014.
