Education robotics in Hospital Schools. Our project "The Robot Band" featured at ITIS Fermi Lucca

“Giannina Gaslini” Hospital School is located inside the Pediatric Hospital “Giannina Gaslini” in Genoa, Italy. Their activities ensure that coming into hospital did not mean missing out on little patients’ schoolwork or exams.
The kids are taught in a group in the hospital school, or in a one-to-one situation on the ward or even at their bedside.In 2009, upon suggestion by the School’s teacher and in team with the School of Robotics, and in the frame of the Tales about Robots Week, kids in day-hospital started a project called “Telling robot Tales”, building artifacts inspired by the idea of the robot (in this page, some of them) .
Since 2010, the School of Robotics, in collaboration with the Gaslini Band Band Onlus Association, the CNR IEIIT (section of Genoa, Italy) and the School in Hospital “Gaslini”, develops an educational project in Educational robotics for teachers in hospitals and volunteers of the Gaslini Band Band.
