Genoa, 12 October 2019, The White Night for Children
Reading time: 1 minuteIn Genoa, the eighth edition of the White Night for Children, Saturday, October 12, 2019, from 15:30, in the Sestiere della Maddalena and surroundings.
The district of La Maddalena of Genoa once again celebrates: more than 70 societies and associations will go down in the squares and streets bringing a series of activities designed for the enjoyment of children. A long afternoon of workshops of all kinds, readings, dances, music and theater performances in Piazza della Cernaia, which will accompany us until nightfall, ending with a fantastic fire show.
Organized by the Social Cooperative Il Laboratorio with the patronage of the Municipality of Genoa Municipio I Centro Est and with the collaboration of more and more participants.
This 8th edition will be a popular anecdote of the "Egg of Columbus: simple solutions to impossible problems". A tribute to the great Genoese navigator Christopher Columbus who, on October 12 more than 500 years ago, landed in Guanahami, discovering "The New World".
An expedient to tell all children an approach to life creative, intuitive and ingenious; not only! Who can help us better than they to reflect on the simplicity of problems that often seem to us great without solution?
The beginning of the event is scheduled at 3.30 pm with a long afternoon of activities: more than 70 associations, cooperatives, traders and ordinary citizens will go down in the streets and squares of La Maddalena, bringing a rich series of activities designed for the enjoyment of children, involving and exciting even adults.
As in previous editions, there will be many workshops on the agenda: artistic, creative recycling, scientific, technological, musical, readings, dances, theater and magic shows, makeup and many games suitable for families.
The evening will end in Piazza della Cernaia with theatrical performances:
"Harlequin and the Perfect Love by the Teatro delle Formiche
"Retro Fire" by the Retro Company; a fantastic show with fire.
All activities will be free.
